Home/I need more customers

Door one

I need more customers.

Not a campaign. A system: somewhere for people to land that makes them believe you, a listing that gets chosen, and something that answers every enquiry the minute it arrives, at nine at night, on a Saturday, while your crew is on a roof.

The symptom

It usually is not the number of leads.

When we look at a business that says it needs more customers, the leak is almost never at the top. It is somewhere in the middle, where an enquiry arrives and nothing happens fast enough to matter.

A call comes in while everyone is on site and nobody rings back. A form gets emailed to an inbox that is read twice a day. A good review never gets asked for, so the profile that decides whether you get shortlisted stays thin.

Fixing the leaks costs a fraction of buying more leads, and it makes every lead you buy afterwards worth more.

Sound familiar

  • The phone rings but nobody can say where from
  • Enquiries sit for a day before anyone answers
  • Your website looks older than your company is
  • Competitors with worse work rank above you
  • Reviews arrive by accident, not on purpose
  • You are paying for ads and cannot tell what they returned
Evidence

How much gets lost before anyone talks to you.

What we build

Four things, in this order.

Each one only works because the one before it is in place. This is why we sell it as a system rather than a menu.

  1. Somewhere to land

A site built as plain, fast pages with a page for each service you actually sell. Google’s own thresholds are a two-and-a-half-second main paint and near-zero layout shift; we build to them because the same speed is what stops a visitor leaving.

  2. A reason to be picked

A complete Google Business Profile, service pages that match how people search, and a review habit that keeps recent ratings coming instead of hoping for them.

  3. An answer in minutes

Every call, form and message lands in one place, and an automatic text goes back immediately so the person knows they were heard. Missed calls get answered too.

  4. A record of all of it

One pipeline showing every enquiry, where it came from, who touched it and what happened. You stop guessing which half of the marketing worked.

Evidence

Why the first five minutes decide it.

Two independent studies, twelve years apart, found the same thing at very different scales.

27%

of inbound calls go unanswered in home services and in dental. Insurance misses 39%.

Invoca call research

85%

of customers whose call goes unanswered do not call back.

CallRail benchmark report, 2025

32%

of more than a million analysed calls arrived outside weekday business hours, with a peak in the two hours after five.

Getting found

Being close and being clear.

Local search is not mysterious. Practitioners who track it rank two things at the top: a real page for every service, and genuine relevance to the place someone is searching from.

So we build service pages that say something specific, and city pages only where our team has something true to write about the place: the neighbourhoods served, the jobs done there, the local detail. Google explicitly treats thin duplicated city pages as spam, and it is right to.

#1

local organic ranking factor in Whitespark’s 2026 practitioner survey is having a dedicated page for each service.

#2

ranking factor for the map pack is how close your address is to the person searching. Being in the city of the search is #4.

46%

of Google searches have local intent. The figure dates from 2018 and Google has published nothing newer, so treat it as directional.

A word about paid ads

We would rather fix the leaks first.

Advertising works. It just multiplies whatever system it lands in, including a broken one.

That is why paid search is an add-on at $1,500 a month plus your spend, and why we will usually ask you to wait a month or two. Sending money into a funnel that drops a quarter of its calls is not marketing, it is donation.

36%

of the average Google Ads budget is wasted, $1,127 of a $3,127 monthly spend, across 15,666 audited accounts.

WordStream, 2025

25%

Straight answers

Before you book.

How long before it does anything?

The follow-up half works the week it is switched on. A text going back in seconds is immediate. Getting found takes longer. Expect three to six months for local search movement, and be suspicious of anyone who promises faster.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

The monthly is month to month once the build is paid for. If you spread the build over twelve months, the twelve months is the commitment. That is the part we financed.

What if I already have a website?

We will look at it honestly on the call. Sometimes it is fine and we work on what surrounds it. More often it is slow, invisible to search and impossible to edit, and rebuilding is cheaper than fighting it.

Will you write the content or do I?

We write it, then you correct it. You know the work; we know how people search for it. Nothing goes live before you have read it.

Next step

Let’s find out what should change first.

A discovery call is thirty minutes. We ask about the business, not the software. You leave knowing what we would do first and what it would cost, whether or not you hire us.

What happens on the call

  1. You talk, we listen

Ten minutes on what is actually going wrong and what you have already tried.

  2. We name the first move

One recommendation, in order of priority, with the reason behind it.

  3. You get a number

A real price range before you leave the call. No proposal cycle, no chasing.

No sales script. No obligation. If we are not the right fit we will say so and point you somewhere better.
